Recent Projects
Philadelphia Center for Architecture
A new vision. A new home.
The Center for Architecture is the physical venue for AIA Philadelphia's charitable work. Opening this spring at 1218 Arch Street, the Center will house the staffs of AIA Philadelphia, the Community Design Collaborative, and the AIA Bookstore and Design Center. The Center is a public place where celebration, education, conversation, and debate about the built environment will occur. It is an exhibition gallery, studio, museum, interpretive laboratory, tourist destination, and classroom.
General Building Contractors Association
Skill, Integrity and Responsibility.
GBCA is the Philadelphia Builders' Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America. It is a construction trade organization dedicated to skill, integrity and responsibility. Dating back to the early 1700's, it is one of the oldest trade associations in America.
GF Data Resources
The most accurate valuation data on private-equity sponsored middle market transactions.
GF Data Resources is a proprietary database that provides private equity buyers, intermediaries, capital sources and valuation professionals with accurate and detailed information on business transactions ranging in size from $10 million to $250 million.
Whitney Veigas
Signs compatible with project design.
All buildings and site facilities need signs. For a variety of reasons, the architect and site designer may leave this responsibility to others. The end result can be an installation that visually detracts from the overall design quality of the project, and does not meet the needed regulatory requirements. Whitney Veigas can assist the architect and site designer in achieving a visually compatible and functional sign installation.
Infill Philadelphia
Promoting workable, innovative design solutions for infill development.
Infill Philadelphia is a five-year initiative created by the Community Design Collaborative to promote workable, innovative design solutions to revitalizing older, urban neighborhoods. The initiative will focus on infill development— the reuse and repositioning of obsolete or underutilized buildings and sites. Infill development is essential to renewing neighborhoods and knitting them back together.
The Women’s Committee of The Philadelphia Museum of Art
A volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Philadelphia Museum of Art
Founded in 1883, TWCPMA continues its original role as a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Philadelphia Museum of Art. One of the many projects and events produced by the committee is the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, which is presented annually by The Women's Committee and The Craft Show Committee. Funds raised are used to purchase works of art and crafts for the permanent collections, to fund conservation and publication projects, and to support exhibitions and education programs throughout the year. Panoptic was given the opportunity to work with members of the committee to develop a new public website and intranet.
AIA Philadelphia
A Chapter of the American Institute of Architects
AIA Philadelphia was founded in 1869 and is one of the oldest AIA Chapters in America with over 1,300 member architects located in four southeastern Pennsylvania counties. This recent site update reflects both visual and functional enhancements, including online member and affiliate profile updating, and the posting of news, events, and employment opportunities by anyone visiting the site. The vision and direction for the project was provided by Michael Ashworth, AIA Philadelphia Communications Director, and other chapter members and staff. Initial database programing and support was provided by Jay Kellett of Blue Box Software.
